Ulu Yam trip - Surround yourself with orchids Our mini trip started with a visit to World of Phalaenopsis located in Batang Kali. I think that it was better to take the young ones to see more nature and greens for a change, rather than going to shopping malls or cafe hopping. World of Phalaenopsis is a nursery selling orchids and only orchids. A magnet for plant lovers as well as those who come to this area on one day trip, you'll be surrounded by countless orchids as you step into the nursery. Hidden inside the nursery is a cafe called The Florescence and it's also filled with potted plants and orchids all around. Serving fusion foods such as nasi lemak, asam laksa, chicken chop etc. However we were still full from the earlier breakfast hence we didn't order any food item. Instead I just opted for a bottle of kombucha and basked in the natural sunlight in the cafe while spending some time walking around and admiring the Phalaenopsis.

First visit to the cafe, which is located inside an orchid farm. Surprisingly not super crowded on Labor's Day Holiday. However, they ran out of ice :( the ice delivery man only reached after 2 hours, which we were about to leave. Coffee was not bad and came with a crunchy biscuit. Burnt cheesecake was alright, but not creamy enough. Apple crumble with ice cream was really good. The apple was warm and the pastry is not dry. Paired with the vanilla ice cream, not overly sweet and very good. Pistachio ganache cake was dense and very chocolatey. A little sweet but could satisfy anyone that's craving chocolate. Not bad as well.

This cafe stands out as one of the decent options in the area. In fact, there are only two cafes here that meet my standards for coffee and dessert quality, with the other being Kebun Cafe. This cafe is always my second choice when Kebun is unavailable. While the coffee here does taste better, the desserts are only average. In addition to coffee and desserts, they also offer local delights like nasi lemak and various kuih. One of the highlights of this cafe is its lovely setting, with orchid flowers adorning the tables and surrounding the entire establishment, as it is located within a famous orchid farm. However, cleanliness could be improved, particularly in terms of table and floor cleanliness.

This cafe is inside the world of Phalaenopsis (orchid farm). There is free parking in front of the farm and do not go for RM3 parking lot before u reach to the farm.

Tucked inside an orchid farm in Batang Kali, The Florenscene is a peaceful hidden gem that’s perfect for a relaxing escape. Surrounded by blooming flowers and lush greenery, it offers a cozy, scenic spot to unwind. Great coffee, beautiful ambiance, and a quiet charm make this place a must-visit.

First time visiting, this cafe is located within the Orchid farm. Once again very scenic and wide spaces, plenty of seating with orchids all around. Price is on the more expensive side for this area. Food was pretty good especially Yam cakes, great! The service staff was also amazing, orders came through really quickly!

This is an amazing coffee place offering a very cozy atmosphere in lush greenery and orchids. Really very well put together and certainly qualifying this place into the hidden gem category. The kids loved it!

Lotsa orchid here, coffee is ok. Inside cafe has no aircond but still cooling due to the whole cafe inside is like a cooling fan. 1 side has watered wall (same like behind your cooling fan) opposite side has many huge fan to suck the air out from the cafe.
